if the police didn't say anything to you, then it's ok to stay there. Otherwise, they would have told you something. It is very possible that they saw your vehicle. I wouldn't turn off all my lights when I see a police car. That looks suspicious.

I thought the places on this site were just Ok, not "maybe you get woken up at 3am in your pyjama completely asleep, by an insecure policeman trying to convince himself that he is useful in life"... 😝
And I turned off my lights in a way where they could not see that they got turned off of course...
