My name is Alessandro (or Alejandro ;D), I write from Italy and I own a Viano Marco Polo! I was looking for other owners of this amazing vehicle and I discovered this forum! In Italy it's not so common, it seems that everybody prefer big motorhomes!

Thank for your kindness! Italy in general is not so furgoperfecto :-[ but I found nice places in the center (Toscana/Umbria) and I think also Sardegna will be (if you stay away from big cities and go to the wild part of it!)

Mmmm, I'm willing to go Tosacana, .palmas what cities to visit?. How are the rules for camping in Italy?. A greeting. :)

vianomarcopoloitalia

In Italy with "Campeggio" we mean that you stop with your van and put outside tables/chairs and so on; this is, in general, not allowed next to big town. The overnight stop instead is allowed almost everywhere, if not differently indicated. Obviously if you are in a wild zone like Sardegna, nobody will complain if you put your tables outside your van!

In Toscana there are so many things to visit... but I can tell you some:

Siena and territory around is really nice

San Gimignano

Firenze

Pisa

This are the very famous towns but you can read my diary for other ideas! :)
